sex on a first date or naw?

Wow...I though we were supposed to get more relaxed, understanding and easy-going as we got older. Why all the moral posturing and self-righteousness about a simple human pleasure? Do so many people really believe that sex is a divine gift to be granted only to the most deserving of your precious virtue? What virtue? Get over yourselves!
For the religious nuts out there...you say lust is a sin but so is pride. The ego-centric value you place on your so-called virtue is nothing but pride. Sex is natural, healthy, brings people closer together and feels great. It's much better for you than almost every other "vice" in which we hungrily indulge. I bet some of you don't agonize or sermonize as much over a decision to pig out on chocolate, pizza or ice cream. Do you need that decadent snack to prove it's love for you before you enjoy its endorphin-producing goodness? No...you dig right in without hesitation. Maybe you feel a little guilty later but that's just the brain-washing effect...you did something that felt good (decadent!) so you should feel bad about yourself. How Victorian! We've distanced ourselves from the natural world so much that we can't even enjoy another human being's company (or god forbid, their touch) without first making sure they are Mr or Ms "Right" and they've convinced us that they'll love us forever. There is no such thing as a soul mate, people. The Notebook was a figment of someone's imagination. It's a nice story but has little to do with reality. Stop wasting so much time bullshitting and get to enjoying one another. |
