Is there a way to keep someone from constantly looking at your profile without deactivating you entire acct??

Afternoon~~ I joined this site yesterday and have already connected with some VERY nice people..I am sooooo excited!!! In an attempt to figure out how to use the site without getting myself in trouble I have tried to read the rules and warnings and so on... What are bbcodes? and is there a HELP link somewhere or are we just supposed to come to these msg boards to ask questions??? Thanks --I just want to do all of this new stuff correctly...
