It's not bleak, it's realistic. I am a very open minded person.

Your telling me that I am "closed-minded".

Have you ever considered that GOD doesn't exist?

dont misunderstand. i have contemplated this long and hard.

lemme guess, science is your reasoning. thse 'cold hard facts'

just because a supreme creator doesnt fit into your (human-crafted) periodic table or your TI-83 plus doesnt rule out its existence.

we trundle through life without the ability to use more half of our brains and you are going to try and justify the existence of god with science?

Exactly

Again, you're calling me closed-minded

slaphead ill meet you at the evolution bell-curve

Answer me this

If Adam and Eve had two sons and one killed their brother, how did the world get so populated?

you misunderstand. i am not tethered to any particular religion. i believe in a supreme creator and thats it. the bible does nothing for me. you can be spiritual without having to define yourself with a specific religion.

sounds like sour grapes to me bruda.

You're right, I did misunderstand you and you make a good point.

Myself, I choose not to believe in a supreme creator, I find it to be scientifically impossible

To me religion is people that choose to live their lives by a non-factual history book that has been re-writen many times

have you ever mulled over the idea that you may be more moral that your religion's god?

I have already come to the conclusion that if there is a god we are more moral than he is.
First, he demands a blood sacrifice to forgive "his creation" for using an ability that he gave "his creation".
Second, he is supposed to be all-knowing and all-powerful. Therefore, he knew that events like 9/11 and the Holocaust were going to happen, and had the power to prevent them, and didn't.
Lastly, if he is all powerful, he has the power to speak to everyone, and end the debate on which religion is right, instead, only the lunatics hear him, and all the religious people are still killing each other, to find out who has the best imaginary friend.

Um, I text to say "running late, be there when I can" when I can't pick up the phone and call.

I don't think that's hiding from my emotions at all, unless I have some deep rooted issues with tardiness that I haven't mustered the strength to deal with.

If you have the time to text, why can't you just call them?

I meant if I'm late in a meeting, and can't call. I have a quick text set up that says exactly that, so I can let friends know that the meeting that was supposed to end at 5 is still going strong at 5:30. Two buttons, and it's sent, and they're not mad at me for "standing them up"

Now that's the best answer that I have ever heard for that question.
