|

There is NO GOD then we, and everything around us, is one big ol coincidence? |

have you ever mulled over the idea that you may be more moral that your religion's god? I have already come to the conclusion that if there is a god we are more moral than he is. First, he demands a blood sacrifice to forgive "his creation" for using an ability that he gave "his creation". Second, he is supposed to be all-knowing and all-powerful. Therefore, he knew that events like 9/11 and the Holocaust were going to happen, and had the power to prevent them, and didn't. Lastly, if he is all powerful, he has the power to speak to everyone, and end the debate on which religion is right, instead, only the lunatics hear him, and all the religious people are still killing each other, to find out who has the best imaginary friend. |

It's not bleak, it's realistic. I am a very open minded person.
Your telling me that I am "closed-minded". Have you ever considered that GOD doesn't exist? |

Have you ever considered that GOD doesn't exist? dont misunderstand. i have contemplated this long and hard. lemme guess, science is your reasoning. thse 'cold hard facts' just because a supreme creator doesnt fit into your (human-crafted) periodic table or your TI-83 plus doesnt rule out its existence. we trundle through life without the ability to use more half of our brains and you are going to try and justify the existence of god with science? |

...i cannot debate something..if in the end i have NO proof to back it up,other than a book that can be interpreted many different ways..it becomes nothing more than a conflict of opinions its futile and a waste of MY time ...jmo ..like it or not |

Hmm. As to the original post, one perk of not believing in the God of Abraham, the thought of being more moral than my own deity is a moot point and doesn't bother me. -shrug- My deity simply IS...not good, not evil. Am I more moral? I don't think so, but I don't think I'm less moral either. The whole goal is to strive to be a better person. So. Awesome.
