Desertfox...I personally love going to a spirit filled nondenominational church.

Actually, The spirit of God is moving mightily in all denominations today..Thank God..but still, I prefer nondenominational churches....where denominational walls are tumbling down..and all denominations meet together in one accord.

Lakewood church in Houston is an example(pastor Joel Osteen). So is a ministry in Australia called Hillsong( Paston Houston).
Both may be seen on Trinity Broadcasting Network(TBN).

DesertFox....I too ,hunger for a deeper walk with God..in fact, I believe many many today are hungering for a deeper walk with God, and are tired of just religion.

There's a mighty move of the Holy Spirit among many churches today....denominations included...so look for those churches like that... on fire for God, ... where you will feel the power of God moving....along with
the LOVE of God , also.

This is always the last stand for Christians. To say that anyone that walks away from Christianity was never really a "Christian". It's like some kind of purity test to make sure the religion was never tainted with the unholy. To bad for you I was a great and involved Christian raised from infancy in a religious home and I am still surrounded by a religious family that is shocked by my conversion and the obvious light I give off now by living the real truth.
I can tell by the posting of some others, Abra for sure, that many have taken a similar path. We all had a love for that religion and for truth. Still have a hope for the way that it teaches tolerance, peace, love your brother as yourself, do not judge. I still think in terms that many people in here that claim to be Christian do not act Christ Like. So I am not as far from the religion I was raised in as you may think.
If you get to make the judgment on who was and was not a Christian I guess you have more power then I thought.

well that means you have to find a church that don't accept tithes or donations and don't preach about politics and a church that follows The Old Testament to the letter ..but unfortunely you have a better chance of actually finding God then finding one of those churches



because no one wants to follow the laws of The Old Testament and have decided to form splinter sects in order to pick and choose which of God's laws to follow and has interpet these laws to fit their agenda and not God's

Ok Rabbit...there are MANY MANY MANY so called "christians" out there in the world, who have an abiding LOVE for the bible... and have a LOVE for christianity... and were even RAISED UP in a family of church going christians....but are not christians atall.

Now....Franklin was raised around the gospel message being preached all his life, but he rebelled against God for awhile in his life.

In other words, being around a christian family that loved God, all his life.....did NOT automatically make Frankin a christian .

Frankin Graham STILL Had to make that personal decison for Jesus Christ, HIMSELF..Amen?
Which he did..and is being used by God mightily today.

I was an atheist. I didn't wake up until I was 32. It won't happen for everyone. God knew your soul before you were born and he knew what your life would be. Ever hear of a "radical conversion"? It isn't a common occurrence but I am proof that it does happen. What I am trying to say is that I was rabbit, abra, and others, full of hatred for ANY faith, so all you can and should do is keep setting an example. Ignore the hate and live the love.

My only point in saying that way was to show you how it is for me. I just go around talking about my beliefs and for some reason people find that condescending. I also wish that everyone would find thier own personal happiness. However you want to worship is fine with me. If you find peace by going off in a corner somewhere and praying to Christ I am happy for you and support you.
When someone comes on a board like this that is open for discussion about religion. Then I am going to say my peace. I cannot be bullied into not saying the truth. I have to get the truth out there so that everyone has a chance to hear it.
