I had a gig last night, and of course our whole crew comes out for them, there is one guy I have known for years, he is a sweetheart, when he sees me he always tells me how great and wonderful and kind I am to him...calls me family. However at the end of the night, and after a few beers, he always hits on me, I respectfully decline, then it turns into how mean I am to him... He always says I am dating my drummer (who is my best friend) or my other friend...also a guy. "you're John's girl" or "you're Dan's girl" Besides kicking his azz... what else do I need to do?? Don't say sit down and have a talk with him, because I have done that.... |

When he's being Mr. Nice Guy, he's being disingenuous, and you know this. He thinks he's "building rapport" or some other fake crap when he's calling you "family" but all he's doing is expressing his desperation.
When he's being disingenuous, call him out on it. Break his pattern. |
