Wal-Mart again? Why is everybody always picking on this great coproration that forces our industries to China? Make it cheaper! That's what this generation of Americans want. Who cares what they do or how "legally" they do it.

I'm proud that our parents made it possible for our generation to have a better standard of living than they had.

Will the next generation have that same pride in us when they discover themselves to be the first generation in American History with a standard of living less than their parents?

Go, shop at Wal-Mart and save your dollar. I'll put a few more dollars out and buy American.

Good luck with that. The Unions and piss poor management in this country have been contributing to outsourcing longer than Walmart ever has. That's what happens when workers in foreign countries who make less money than Americans have better skills.

American auto buyers were the first to offshore workers (UAW)when they started buying foreign cars.

Piss poor management? I agree with that The Wal-Mart execs seem to be doing pretty good though!

Piss poor unions? There white colors in this country owe thanks to the unions for what benefits they get. If we had the strong unions we had, there would be very little offshoring and outsourcing and the economy wouldn't be on the verge of another crash. It's so bad, even the street vendors overseas won't accept dollars anymore!

The fact is anymore most of the Unions are in collusion with the Employers they were originally designed to protect their members against. Not all, but most. There are still a few good unions out there. I haven't had experience with many of them, but I did with one, so I'm sure there are a few more.

The only way we're going to be able to turn this situation around, Walmart aside, is to get Foreign workers earning the same or higher wages than Americans make. (Or get our workers trained with skills they don't have via innovation of new technology.) And that's the only way. Pissing and moaning about it is getting us nowhere.

ok.. im tired of debating this every few days.. all i can say is this.. i work at walmart.. and they treat me very good.. no questions asked time off when i had cancer. no questinos asked time off when my mom was having severe health issues..
they pay better than any other retailer out there ( do the math i speak the truth) and in all honesty they treat the employees better than any other retailer that i have worked for..
so heres the thing.. i dont come on here slandering and bashing your workplaces do i??
i would apprecieate the same respect from you...
