Found out the heat pump at the new house is bad and should be replaced. Owner doesn't want to pay for it and neither does my Aunt. Could be a deal breaker.

Have to see. My cousin works for a heating/cooling place and checked out the heat pump after the home inspection. The owner has a problem with that because he's a relation and they're going to have another person with the home warranty check it out as well. Thing is, wouldn't the warranty person be biased as well? If the heat pump is under warranty, they're probably not going to want to pay for it either.

Well I say get the cousin, warranty guy both checking it out at the same time, so at least someone knows what's going on if its truley broken. But who knows, The warranty people may cover it if it's really broken, but it helps to have someone there knowledgable about that kind of stuff. |

Well we forwarded the owner's concerns to the company my cousin works for. So hopefully something should get worked out. |
