did that and was engaged. we used to talk about everything as friends...then when we dated..he shut down and pushed me away (which he hadn't done as friends). ruined our friendship even though I still tried to be friends even after he treated me like crap

OP~ My BFF is a girl, so I'm not dating her. My closest male friend is married to my boss... so nope and nope in both of those areas. And my SO is not speaking to me... so I don't think I can say he is my best friend either. |
