Topic: Why do the pages reload constantly?

Why is it that every page on this site seems to reload about once every 10 seconds? It never seems to add any content or change anything and it messes with auto-scrolling.

its so on the off chance I get an e-mail, a little one will appear on the mail thingy when it refreshes.

Actually, it's because of the IM option. The site continually checks to see if someone is trying to contact you. Should you find this annoying, feel free to turn off the IM feature.
