If I could I would...do it, girl! I can live vicariously through you!

What have you got to lose? And would you always say, "what if?" if you don't????flowerforyou

I know that is what i am telling myself, and i am at the point that if i don't do it soon i feel i will just end staying here in mi and i so hate the snow and winter. Although i am scared about starting all over by myself esp if i don't like it..

I have moved a few times in my life. Never have any regrets about it. Sometimes you just have to take chances. Never know, if you don't.flowerforyou

I know, i live in mi and hate the cold, plus the economy here is so bad, don't get me wrong i make good money but to find someone that makes decent money or educated not so much...
tossing the idea of florida, carolina's, or arizona. The downside of florida is the humidity. Anybody have any suggestions.

So, be scared...that's 1/2 the fun of it! Don't let life pass you by, girlie! When my boy is grown and outta the house...I'm gone, too. Don't know where, don't really care!flowerforyou

Don't let the "what ifs" haunt you. But, this is advice from a true free spirit...might not be the most reasonable advice for you.laugh

Hello:

I am a retired paramedic in AZ. I did just as you are contemplating. The medical community is so open here, and the need for good nurses is great. There are or were 5 trauma centers here, a burn unit, a neuro, and of course the Mayo Clinic. As the other folks here have said, AC and sunscreen is a must, and as in any big city, also safety.
It is quite a cultural area also. The state offers a multitude of climate year round.
No, I do not work for the Chamber of Commerce, but just enjoy living here.
I wish you only the best of luck in your decision.

I am toying with the idea of moving. I am a registered nurse and can get a job just about anywhere but am seriously looking to go to some place warm. I have been told about mayo clinic in arizona is hiring but am scared about starting all over in a new place, knowing no one.

Would u or could u just pack up and start all over? Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

Make preperation in advance, visit at least twice before moving to the place you decide on if possible and make it an adventure......

So did one place stand out more then another?

YES!!!!! New York (Queens) but, it is way to cold there now...laugh laugh

I want to pick up & move too. I moved to northwest Arkansas from Los Angeles in 1996 to be closer to my family after they moved here. I'm an RN too. I figure once I finish my MSN, I'm going to move to Orange or San Diego county because that degree means nothing here in regards to pay. I miss homefrown
