my general rule is that i don't date coworkers but if i knew this person
really well i wouldn't let it get in the way.

I think when you do date someone you work with, if it doesn't work out,
it could be very awkward. These are how rumors start and little
fights...so I tend to stay away from the "work romances" because they
only seem to cause more problems.
I honestly believe that the owners of a company do have the right to say
if you are allowed to date co-workers or not--only because they are the
ones that have to deal with all of the problems in the end! Besides who
really wants to date someone that they have to see every single day of
thier life? Hell we go to work to get away from our mate not to see them
:)
