transportation issues.the same thing that is stopping me from doing anything else

Yeah, that's tough. I take it you don't live somewhere with public transportation? And nothing within walking distance?

i live 3 miles from the nearest town and it's not big enough for public transportation.i live about 10 miles or so from where i work

Yeah, that kind of blows. I lived in a place like that when I was a kid, it was hard. My parents bought me a car so I could get a job but I was only 16 at the time and it was a POS
But, it ran and got me to work.

i had a '91 Mercury Tracer that i sold a couple of years ago.it ran great but i sold it because it was made by Ford

Given the current circumstances, you probably should have held on to it, regardless

yeah but i couldn't be seen driving a Ford, are you crazy woman???

Well, considering I grew up in Detroit, anything made there's ok with me. I drove a Hyundai for a while and every time I went home, it was horrible

      a Hyundai?you poor thing.....

I actually loved it, had a Santa Fe, drove great, never a problem, completely loaded with all kinds of fun stuff. Only reason I got rid of it was that I didn't need anything that big and with gas prices getting so high, it was kind of expensive to drive.

i thought Honda made the Santa Fe's ?

Nope, Hyundai. And they're cheap, too. Bought mine for less than $20,000, fully loaded except for leather seats. A comparable American would have been at least $10-12,000 more.
