the screening device's light
was blinking
I was staring deep
into the light
but I lost focus
when they strapped
me down

I began to just

I looked up
and the ceiling's
fluorescent lights
were invading the tour
that swarmed inside my head

I became sad just sad

they stood around me
their white uniforms
became a dull light

I heard them talk about
some other me
that was listening
somewhere else

I closed my eyes
but the lights
creased through
my pupils
soldering inside
and surrounding me
like a sea
surrounds an island

I became mad just mad
