Download a program called "CCleaner" (or, alternatively, "Glary Utilities")- it'll clean out stuff like bad registry entries and other crap that is probably hidden in your computer.

Invest in a decent anti-spyware program (Spybot Search and Destroy, A-Squared Free, SpywareBlaster, AdAware Free 2007, Threatfire) to search for and get rid of spyware, rootkits, and other malware that might be clogging up your compy.

Make sure your swapfile isn't too large or too small, as that can affect how files are transfered on your compy.

If defrag does not work, try adding more Ram ( memory ) that would help.

Another thing you could try if you have windows xp, go to start then run and type in msconfig and go to start up tap and uncheck any boxs that look to you that might not be needed to run as in programs that might not be need to running in the back round. Then once you click okay.. your pc will restart or you can restart it later and then once your pc restarts up then make sure you put a check mark in the box and hit save.

That should help.

Here's a site for memory you can buy and it does an auto scan for you on what type of memory to buy.

Hope that helps.

Quit surfing so many porn sites. Stick to one. Too many sites will clog up your computer...

I'm just guessing about that, I don't really know. . . .
