is america losing its feel for holidays? .what i mean is that some people work on national holidays some work all day.so why have holidays if we have to work on those days?

a holiday is not put in place to give you a day off. i'd say you don't have a feel for a holiday not america.....

I don't think America is losing the feel for holidays, its just the demanding economy and the companies we work for. I truly love and celebrate all holidays.

Because many people work for companies that are open to do business on those days....businesses that serve those who are NOT working that day.

hospitals cant close on holidays.......I seem to work all of them and get paid double time and a half to do so. I just make my "holiday" a different day!!

I think holidays have become very commercial in my opinion especially Xmas. The true meanings seem to be fading a little.

is america losing its feel for holidays? .what i mean is that some people work on national holidays some work all day.so why have holidays if we have to work on those days? ok so heres the thing.. you think it sux that some people have to work on holidays, but yet have you ever ran to wal~mart for that last minute thing on christmas eve, ever ran to the gas station on thanksgiving so you can go to grandmas? so you are enabiling the need ofr working on holidays.. you dont want me to have to work on easter again.. no more shoping at the supermarket on easter!!! supply and demand.. i hate it, but it pays the bills.

I celebrate: Halloween, St Patties Day, and the 4th of July. ANYTHING where I can get drunk, blow things up or scare people is good to me. Im shooting Wisky all day. Join in my fun!
