Arrogance is a well-known trait in politics, particularly presidential elections. A person must be full of himself/herself to decide that "I should be president of the USA." However, Obama is bordering on arrogance and is a bit too cocky.
In July he told reporters he would overcome Hillary's lead in the polls because "to know me is to love me." A few months later, he said, "Every place is Barack Obama country once Barack Obama's been there." Sure there is probably a certain amount of kidding in the above statements. He had to be joking when he told supporters in January that by the time he was done speaking "a light will shine down from somewhere." "It will light upon you and you will experience an epiphany. And you will say to yourself, I have to vote for Barack. I have to do it." Well the light did shine on me and it told me to beware of a politician who aligns himself with the racist, anti-American Rev. Wright. That same light also told me that Barak and his wife Michelle ooze a sense of entitlement. What was it Mrs. Obama said a few weeks ago? Oh yes, "Barack is one of the smartest people you will ever encounter who will deign to enter this messy thing called politics and that Americans will get only one chance to elect him." Well, let's hope Americans use their one chance to vote him out of the running for the Democratic presidential nominee and also to vote him out of the Senate when that vote comes up. Additionally, rumors abound how Obama's aides and associates tell stories about a man who is aloof and ungracious and a wife who is domineering. Obama doesn't like to be challenged. That quality/trait can prove to be dangerous in a time of war. The only statement he has uttered that makes sense was at a rally last month when he said, "I am an imperfect vessel for your hopes and dreams." His racist views and his anti-American stance and alignment with Rev. Wright certainly prove that statement to be true. |

I won't be getting involved here, or say anything about you or your views, but..
If you got it, flaunt it. |

It sounds like the wife is very proud of her husband.

And like Hilary and her crook liar husband are any different?

And like Hilary and her crook liar husband are any different? Well, the point is that we expect arrogance and lies from Hillary and Bill. However, Obama has billed himself as not being the run of the mill politician, but he is proving he is no better than the rest of them ..... lying and arrogant. |

If he had done it in some private place, I don't think there would have been such a big stink about it. Additionally, he made the mistake of getting caught. Kennedy never got caught; there were just rumors. |

I wonder how arrogant this guy feels now that he sees the presidency slipping away.

I wonder how arrogant this guy feels now that he sees the presidency slipping away. Get over it, leahmarie. You constantly post threads about Obama and Rev. Wright, a constant, annoying drumbeat that echoes the far-right media. There's more to it than meets the eye. What about McCain backers who are preachers who race-bait, bring up Obama's middle name and say other controversial things? Do you ever bring them up? |

Mike Huckabee defends Obama in the Rev. Wright controversy. Maybe not all right-wingers have lost their minds! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/03/19/huckabee-defends-rev-jer_n_92346.html |

What about McCain backers who are preachers who race-bait, bring up Obama's middle name and say other controversial things? Do you ever bring them up? mnhiker..... You constantly post items that are left-wing and you criticize anyone who does not agree with you. You are nothing but a Bush-basher. Now you are angry because I am exposing your darling Obama. Get over it. You are in love with a racist anti-American. You berate me because you feel I should post affirmative threads about Left-wingers! Do you post anything positive about Conservatives? Of course not; your threads are anti-Bush, anti-McCain and anti-Government. Sen. Obama's speech was questionable and gave no answers. It offers two scenarios for judging his character, both of which are unsettling. The first is that Sen. Obama did not notice the racism, anti-Americanism and anti-Semitism coming from Rev. Wright in the 17 years he attended Trinity Church. Also Senator Obama wants us to believe that he didn't realize there was a problem with Rev. Wright going to Libya with Louis Farrakhan to see Muammar Qaddafi, or Trinity Church giving Farrakhan a lifetime achievement award. Let's say the above is true and that Obama really heard no evil and saw no evil. If this is absolutely true, it means that there is no way that Sen. Obama is ready to be President. How can we expect him to act with judgment and responsibility in Iran and Iraq, to pick a Supreme Court Justice or to undertake any other complex act under the pressing reality of being president when Obama did not notice the hate-filled sermons of Wright and Wright's association with Farrakhan in 17 years at his church? On the other hand, if Obama noticed the goings on at Trinity Church but failed to act on them, what does that tell us about Obama's honesty and his courage? It tells us Obama is a liar and a coward. Also, let's get back to his white grandmother, whom he mentioned in his speech. According to him, she helped to raise him. She loves him as much as anything in the world. She sacrificied again and again for him. She came up with the money so he could receive the best education possible at the fine private school he attended in Hawaii. And what did he do to this wonderful woman who still loves and cares about him? First he called her a racist and threw her in front of a train to save his political ass. Today he redefined what he meant about his white grandmother. This time he threw her under a bus once again to save himself. mnhiker ..... You are right. This is an annoying drumbeat that Obama marches to .... one that echoes ..... racism ..... anti-Americanism and tells us he is nothing but a liar and will do anything to become president. By the way Obama got his middle name from his Muslim father ... are you blaming the Republicans and claiming they made up his middle name? Get over it mnhiker .... you picked a lying racist anti-American loser. |

Get over it mnhiker .... you picked a lying racist anti-American loser. Get over it mnhiker .... get over it .... Well, there you go again. There are a lot more racists and liars in the Republican Party so this is the pot attempting to call the kettle black (no pun intended). You attack Barack Obama for attending the church of a racist preacher when the Republicans have lots of racists in their party and other hate mongers. mnhiker.....
You mader the statement "There I go again." Have I ever said that to you when you constantly bash Bush and McCain and the Republicans? No, of course not. But you are angry at me, because although I have been on this site for about three months, this is the first time I have gotten on something and stayed with it. You don't like it because I am showing up your darling racist anti-American Obama for the liar he is, and I have facts to back me up. You also stated "There are a lot more racists and liars in the Republican Party." What Republicans attended a racist church for 17 years or more and ignored the racism? I want their names. You also threw out "The pot attempting to call the kettle black." Are you ignoring Hillary Clinton, Geraldine Ferraro and Obama all playing the race card? Oh, I forgot. It's okay for Democratics to be racist, but it's a no-no for Republicans. How stupid of me. Another part of your post is "You attack Barack Obama for attending the church of a racist preacher when the Republicans have lots of racists in their party and other hate mongers." Once again tell me which Republicans are attending churches where there are racist preachers. What are their names, the churches, and the names of the preachers? Which Republicans are racists and hate mongers (furnish proof)? You end with "How hypocritical." mnhiker .... You are the hypocrite. You go along with a certain male person on this site who constantly trolls the internet looking for anti-Bush, anti-American and anti-Military rants and posts them. You fawn and have a love fest with this person. You embrace every hate-filled word he posts and encourage him to do more. No, mnhiker, you are a hypocrite with your false outrage, because I am calling out a racist anti-American Democratic who wants to be president! |
|

But.....that is your opinion that he is a racist, anti-American and you attack people that have a different opinion of Obama.

No, mnhiker, you are a hypocrite with your false outrage, because I am calling out a racist anti-American Democratic who wants to be president! I never addressed the issue until you started posting, not one, but at least 3 different threads about Obama and his preacher. These are the threads: OBAMA'S ARROGANCE OBAMA'S SPEECH OBAMA AND IMUS Why 3 threads? Why not just one? It's not enough that Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh and the other right-wing conservative talking heads that you have a love fest with keep haranguing on this issue that they, and you, just cannot let go of. How has this man or his preacher brought so much trouble to your lily-white world that you feel they are such a threat? Maybe it's an unreasoning fear that your own beliefs about race or the candidate you support might be called into question. |

mnhiker.....
You never answered my questions, which tells me what I knew all along. You are throwing out accusations and have no proof. Also, love fest are words I used .... be original and quit stealing my thoughts. My lilly-white world? "Lilly-white world" is an expression used by racists. Since I am an HR person I have access to documents, which the average person doesn't. One document listed word/words that are not to be used since they are considered racist. "Lilly-white world" was on the list. My suspicions are that you already knew that and chose to use the word. You just labeled yourself as being a racist by doing so. Shame on you. Please don't respond to me; I abhor racists. |
