A real man contains a dichotomy of species

And tell me Caam

What are you doing reading all these profiles??????

just getting in touch with the world and trying to understand

Caam

Go to the bathroom

Look in the mirror

the reflection you see....

Real Man

A real man is one who does what he says he will do. He is caring, strong, compassionate and does not back down from his beliefs. He does not show his anger outwardly towards others or run from adversity. He communicates well and has integrity. He does not say "yes" to go along and get along and listens when you talk. He is independent and dependent when it's needed.

It's very much the same thing as a "real woman". flowerforyou

dang...I'm screwed!indifferent

That is an excellent example but is this what most women are refering to when they write this in there profile?

I can only speak for me... but I'd say this description really shouldn't be that far off. I think a metrosexual might be a possibility as well... in that this would be a turn-off.
for sure I seam to get the impression from what I read further in the profile it is more of a physical thing than what is inside the man

Just me..... but I steer away from people who talk about physicalities in a profile. Far away. To me, that reeks of material importance and weight in something that is not a foundational issue.

I don’t think I used that definition…”REAL MAN”…on my profile, (which I have since revamped since the original one).

The man I seek has to be honest…with me and himself.
He would be both strong and gentle, (shedding a tear is ok, but not into a guy who has no backbone.)
He would know how to communicate on an adult level.
He would be a great listener and actually care what I say, think and want.
He would be attentive…not attached at the hip mind you, but will show me from time to time that he’s thinking of me.
He has his own interests, as I have mine…but we also have ‘our’ interests in which we share.
He’s a man of his word.
He would love me for me, imperfections and all!
He’s compassionate and caring.
He’s respectful of his lady in every sense of the word.
