Very rarely. Usually I can find SOMETHING good to say without lying. I have seen a few really ugly babies & of course that is one of the times you have to use a white lie.

if it's not sincere, it will come out of the wash, in anger eventually, one way or another, so not a good idea. oh and i think your haircut is great.....don't know what all the fuss is about.....what haircut are you supposed to have, if you don't have this one? i can imagine the answers on here......you might not wanna ask, you'll get a white lie.

The truth is always the best, if it hurts, then you deal with it, its always best to know the truth then to lie and find out about it later, then the person feels betrayed, well that is how I would feel anyway. if the truth hurts, then dont ask the question. Then you will not be disappointed or hurt.

I think sometimes, bending the truth a bit to spare someones feelings doesn't hurt. I think it goes along with a little human compassion. On the other hand, those that repeatedly beg for understanding, while fishing for sympathy turn me off, and the answers i give may not be what they anticipate. In other words..."Don't ask me what i think of you i might not give the answers that you want me to".
