I believe we are all pointed in a certain direction, but our choice to follow it or not. So I guess I do believe in fate.

Believe in the term "meant to be"? Like destiny or fate with someone. No, because that implies someone or something determining the "meaning to be" part and I don't believe in that. There is no evidence for superstitious intent.
