I was blind

I once lived in complete darkness
Terrified and afraid

I shut myself off from the world
Curled inward
Hidden from myself
Oh how I ached for the simplest things
Companionship
Friendship
Love
Acceptance
I craved what I shunned
I needed what I threw away
In a fit of utter loneliness
I came upon a place
Where companionship reigned
Where friendship reigned
Where love reigned
Where acceptance reigned
I still tried ever so hard to hide
Keeping those pieces of myself from view
Until I realized that all I ever really wanted
Was to simply shine
I laugh
I smile
I cry
I live......

I honestly hope there is a truer outlet for you talent J, even tho I
don't post here much anymore, I still come to read your stuff. It's
deep and forboding and always makes me think and reflect about the inner
