Well where I live isn't famous at all, but there is a tourist attraction here that brings in a lot of visitors every year. The Ave Maria Grotto. It's a monestary, but if you want more info, then look at the link.

What is your town famous for?

My town is one of five in the whole country where all five digits of the zip code are the same number.

My town has the oldest working covered bridge in the state. I think it's also the only convered bridge with an integrated walkway.

My town is the drug traffiking captial of my county.

Also was on AMW, for the Hoerig murder.

That is weird. I have this childhood urge to run a choo-choo train straight through that thing. Well, it's not David Hasselhoff thank god. (That's up the coast).

As far as tourist traps...err I mean things...the San Diego Zoo. It's great to practice my hobby in photography.

The funnest thing is the Over-the-line tournament.

Have you ever been to the Omaha Zoo in the winter months? Still as awesome and so many exhibits to see....spent 5 hours there without having to go outdoors too much. Awesome adventure and well worth the admission.

I've never been to Omaha, no. Zoos are the best bargain for the money. I spend the whole day and still haven't seen it all. I know they get a bad rap but the SD zoo has a lot of animals extinct in the wild. They are an insurance policy for a number of species.

The town I live in now is known for being the only place in the country where you are required by law to own a handgun if you own a house.

I saw that on TV about a month ago, was the most awesome thing I've ever seen! If I knew I was about to die thats how I would want to go down, either that or in a mexican knife fight.

I grew up in both Providence and then moved to Fall River Mass and back to Providence.

I don't know if Providence is famous... it IS the capital of Rhode Island. And the beginning of Dumb and Dumber and other films were filmed here.

Fall River is famous for Lizze Bordon. She killed her dad and stepmom about a hundred years ago. Her house is in fall river and it's supposedly haunted. They have a rhyme for her too "Lizze Bordon took an axe and gave her father 40 whacks, when she saw what she had done, she gave her mother 41"

yup, Owatonna High School is actually the real high school (i went there), they really are the Owatonna Huskeys (used to be the Owatonna Indians, but apparently somebody found that offensive) and Angus ate at the Lunch Box, which was a real diner across the street from the high school til the cops shut it down for drug deals and whatnot
