This is a pretty interesting site. I have been on here a couple days just looking around but people seem pretty cool. Even if I don't meet anyone worth dating on here I probably would just to chat with people  from oregon... *cough, cough* not everyone from oregon is a stoner just the stupidest F'ing ones gives us drunkards  a bad rap drunkard - stoner...not much difference. |

15 months here and I haven't met anybody. Or even come close. Part of that is because I'm extremely "selective" and I don't do LDRs.
Lots of great people on this site, though, and I've made plenty of friends, but all the good ones are 897,000 miles away. Locals don't use the forums or respond to e-mails, so the prospect of meeting anyone in real life is pretty close to absolute zero. |

I have been on a couple of other sites and met a few people from all of them.. but I am very picky too so nothing that really sparked an interest yet.. I haven't talked to anyone locally from this one yet I actually had never even heard of JSH until 2 days ago though

I use myspace to look for musicans, and keep in touch with friends/family in different cities, also to listen to music-like right now
Quit looking for dates cause went on a few and was asked on all to go home with them. Don't want a woman on the first day i meet her |

I have myspace too, but never met anyone off of there, it is just for keeping in touch with friends and family.. I get requests but hardly ever accept them.

I broke it down mathmatically but can't be bothered to dig through the hundreds of posts to find one...so I'll sum it up, figured out my chances are somewhere between nil and none...I thought it was fun myself. 3/9,363, which doesn't seem like that bad of chances, considering I live in a world with a population far over that and that the developed countries that I can foresee myself going to the population is at 605,601,000 (2000 pop. figures) that means I would have to date 2 women for roughly 67 years to find the "perfect" match...well I thought it was fun and decided to stick my head in the dirt here and make friends instead.

Don't get me wrong -- I've been on 9912 of these sites, and this is by far the best of them all -- in terms of quality of the people, accessibility of the admins, lots of reasons. Nowhere else even comes close. I never would have accepted a moderator position on a site I didn't like.
And people have found their matches here (some of the people on my friends list, in fact), so there's no doubt that this site works, on more than one level. I just haven't run across anyone yet who I would consider a viable dating prospect. There may be one, but it's most likely someone who never posts in the forums and who I will never know exists!  |

You have to look at it like any other place you might go hang out. Meeting up with someone is something that just happens. Some people can go out looking, but most of us just act like ourselves and enjoy the company we're with...and if something happens, it happens. It's always best to go in with no expectations, and see where it takes you.
