funny how when your children are grown and gone, there is nothing i wouldnt give to have my daughter back home. all those years of her growing up and the aggrivating moments, i would trade them for nothing. ive been missing her extra here lately, especially with talk of her marrying. the thought of my little girl growing up and having her own family....im happy for her, but miss those days. i found a little plaque she made a long long time ago with a saying on it and her little hand print that brought tears to my eyes.....

sometimes you get discouraged
because i am so small
and always leave my fingerprints
on furniture and walls.
but every day i am grwoing
and soon i'll be so tall,
that all those little handprints
will be hard to recall.
so here's a final handprint
to remember, mother dear
exactly how my fingers looked
in sunday school this year

if you have little ones, cherish every single moment....they cant be replaced and will be gone before you know it.

That's really cute and you're totally correct. I look at pics of my nephews at age 5 and now they are both bouncers standing 6'2. I think to myself, are those the same little guys I once knew? Wow!

exactly...i look at her now, so intelligent and full of beauty....i think to myself i remember that little muddy faced tomboy out slinging mud and throwing rocks...coming in with her knees all skinned up and smiling big with her missing front teeth. i miss her so...sometimes my heart aches and i call her just to hear her voice, she giggles when i tell her that.

Mine aren't gone yet, I'm dreading those days though they are coming fast. Might have my graduating 17yo one more year.
I'm awful, raise them to be productive and good men but don't want to let them go.ohwell

Looking back you see how smart they were even at that early age. I look at the pictures and can replay the time we did things together. I have one with the two front teeth out, he is so cute!
