The Silent Man

Be Afraid of the silent man!
For he comes when you are alone.
The perfect time for deadly seeds,
To be watered once gently sown.
His approach unheard, his whisper not uttered,
For his tongue is as still as the night.
Through which you walk, about to run!
Your sense of calmness taking flight.
So sneaky! So quiet! You know he's behind you!
His breath flows down your back.
But when you turn, You Dare not turn...
There is nothing there to attack.
Beware! He has circled! Anticipated you!
But you didn't hear him of course.
He's silent... So silent... He is all around you!
Can't you feel his incredible force?
Can't you see the flick of his teeth in the night?
Shinning white from the moon up above.
Can't you feel the brush of his finger tips?
Isn't That what you're most afraid of?
Or is it the eyes? Black and shinny.
Worst of all, Intelligent ... keen.
He plays as though you were chasing him!
A phantom vision that He has seen!
And when he has your confidence shaken!
When he hears that guttural moan...
When he sees the muscles pull tight in the face!
The skin turn white as bone...
The Silent Man then comes for you,
And takes you as his own!
So be careful... Please be careful...
Be so careful if you can...
For when you find yourself alone...
BE AFRAID of the Silent Man!
