Topic: had the craziest call the other night at work

we get toned out to an unknown aged male bleeding. we respond and get there before PD does, which was a bad idea cause of the area the call was in(local gun and knife club). anyways, we pull up and there are all these ghetto people screaming and cussing at us to do something.. at first i thought maybe some one had been shot or stabbed..we open the door to the place and there is about 300-400cc of blood in pools from the front door to the pt who was laying supine on the ground. i noticed this gash in his pants around the knee area so i pull out my scissors to cut his pants...all of a sudden this guy freaks out like the exorcist and starts spewing blood out of his mouth... my partner was controlling the air way while i was doing other things..thank god for this thug who was there because if it wasn't for him that scene would have been horrifying to deal with. it was a church session in there.. we find out that the guy had drank a 64 ounce cup of bleach. i jumped on the phone and contacted poison control while spiking 2 bags and dealing with our dispatch for the police and the helicopter all at the same time, not to mention crowd control. the cops finally show up after we got the people out of the house...we flew him and all was well cept for the back of the ambulance. it looked like my partner exploded in there..... during all of this i didn't get one drop of blood on me

Holy moly! He drank bleach? That is disturbing to say the least. I commend you for what you do, don't think I could!!!

How do they rid the body of bleach gamma? Yeah, no doubt, seems like he would have died after the amount of blood loss. well poison control said that it's not lethal, but in my thoughts it's a base and that **** would burn up you goose on the way down...from what the flight to team said, the bleach burnt wholes in his pharynx... i wouldn't give him epicak since it would do more damage coming back out...and i don't know if charcoal would work... i am gonna have to look this one up for you guys....
