we=re all single and its really a pretty big place. we usually get out of the store stop for dinner and a few drinks and when we get in everyone is ready for bed anyway so we don't see each other here at the house much.

the good thing is we were all friends in bossier so it starts there. when we're at work its all work and when we're off its back to friends.

How long has this guy been in the pawn business Don? How'd he get started in that? I'm assuming Bossier is the founder's name? And I bet you get some interesting customers! Do the police ever come to visit or question any transactions?

his parents owned one in jackson mississippi and he baught it from them when he got out of high school and built the business up. bossier is bossier city were we all lived. hell he's 38, single and owns all this. we report all pawns to the police and if the show up stolen the the police come and get them. supposedly when the thief goes to court they are ordered to pay us as part of their punishment.

theres the store here in memphis, jackson, ms, one in bossier and one in shrrevport and houma, LA which is just outside new orleans.

Hey Don, how do you "report all pawns" to the police? Do you have to take pictures? Write down serial numbers? Write up lengthy descriptions? That would be a pain in the ass!

we do it via pomputor. enter descriptions model #'s and serial #'s. we have one girl that does that as her main job.

Is there one person for that job at each store then? Or are the other stores not big enough to need a separate person just for that job? I still think that would be a pain in the butt. And who looks over those files? Does anyone? Or are they just there in case the police come looking for something in particular?

the other stores aren't this big. we send a report at the end of each day over the pc to the police. we have one detective in memphis we work with. he's pretty cool and knows we are trying to work with him so he don't hassel as much as he could if he wanted to.

Welcome Back JT I wish it were warm enough for a walk here. That's one of my favorite things to do on a warm summer evening.
