Well I'm thinking it's purely my birth control pills... I didn't take one yesterday to see if my heart would skip when I went to sleep last night and it didn't skip once. Lately it's been doing it every night, so apparently that's what it was. Guess I'll be stopping those!

Little tip for the ladies... if you ever take the pill, don't take Desogen

thanx for the tip but i'd still get it checked out to make sure it wasn't a coincidink .

Well considering I stopped taking them and that night didn't have any palpitations... or the next night... or tonight... and I WAS having them every night, I'm almost positive that's what it was... but yeah, I'm still waiting for test results on my blood panel for thyroid and stuff so I guess I'll see if I need to check anything else.. thanksflowerforyou

Could very well be your thyroid , & the hormones in birth control do react with thyroid hormones.

Not when I lay down, but when I check out some of the beautiful women on this sites profile it happens. Oh, it also leads to it stopping completely, and having to be just by a de fibulator after the rejection

yeah but that's too easy... according to your other post you'll be happy with ANYTHING that has a pulse
thanks captain obvious. If you cannot decipher the difference betweek joking, and reality maybe you are the one with the problem

...the problem Rob my dear is this is not a/the joke thread....heart disease is the #1 killer of women in the US

with that said...you can never be too careful, I tend to under react...in Dec. I had what I thought was a anxiety attack after a relatively new friend got pissy w/me over somthin trivial...I had surg on a torn rot cuff 10 days later ...while on the gurney waitin in the hall , the anaesthesiologist was lookin at my chart, and said "I'm not sure I want to do the surg today...where is the Dr."...long story short, taking me off my celebrex (I take for a 20 yr old injury) caused me to have a heart attack, they didn't think to check up on me while off a blood thinner I've been on for 12 yrs....we must be pro-active about our own bodies, Dr.s nowadays are just not always on their game w/all the med and situation variables out there.....I'm ok...but a lessoned learned about a heads up from my own body.....

Then allow me to just say I am sorry. I can tell you though that this would be the last place that I would ask medical advice if I was having serious issues with my health that may include life/death. I would seek proper medical treatment immediately.

Wow, good thing you had it checked out! That's what's scary, women typically have different heart attack symptoms than men, and tend to downplay them as not a big deal enough to get checked out, which is why it's common for women to die from it more often. I read that they can last a long time in some instances...

scary thing is it can just be a feeling of fatique.my mom had frequent heart burn for weeks and thought it was her hiatal hernia acting up.Then on her way to her hemotologist she had great burning pain.she thought it was from the beef stew she ate..she passed out at the hemotologist after having a massive heart attack...(she lived).thanx to the quick action of the medical professionals in the office and the close proximity of the hospital she lived but I feel has still not fully recovered.
ya never know.

yeah that is scary. I really think I was on the verge of having one since my heart skipping beats came every night.. and yes, it was only when I laid down... and even if I just woke up, if I laid down in bed, I would be tired and my body would try to shut down almost immediately, which hasn't happened since I stopped my pills, so it must've really been putting a great strain on my heart... I don't feel as tired during the day now, either... stupid birth control just isn't worth it!
