I finally talked with the boo's real doctor, not the one we saw the other day. He said that he can state categorically that it is NOT bone cancer. While the x-rays won't show a tumor itself, it will show marks on the bone and they are clean as a whistle (which when you think about it is not all that clean, but whatever LOL). And he agrees with me, and disagrees with his doctor who said it was probably a bruise, that it is almost 99% certain it's not a bruise and that waiting a month to see if it goes away is a bad idea. He said it could very well be a soft-tissue tumor but that 99% of the time, those are benign. So, he is going to schedule an MRI so we can better see what it is we're dealing with and then go from there. We may still need to have it biopsied and/or removed but chances are, it's not going to be much to worry about. I feel like I can breathe again and I think my blood pressure is dropping.
