Topic: I can't even believe myself | |
---|---|
So, I met this girl that I met online on another site for coffee after work today. And I did the worst thing I have even done on a date. I acted like an a**hole, and I'm not sure why. That's not in my nature to be one, so it took me by complete surprise. I talked bad about myself for almost an hour and a half. And just so you know I am not into this girl I do not find her attractive at all. I'm going to sound like an a**hole again but she really made herself up to something she isn't she's really really really overweight. And she had told me she's not. And still after I acted like an ass she wants to go out again and I don't want to. I really don't want to be an a**hole again and tell her why any ideas on a nice way of letting her down

honesty IS the best policy - if a feeling isnt there then its NOT there

Just be honest tell her you weren't feeling... Now I did that and was stalked and called every name in the book.. but a good friend of mine was told that and he respected it....

You could tell her you didn't feel any chemistry, and you don't want to lead her on. Good Luck!

just polietly tell her that you didn't think that the attraction was there..and that you feel it would be rude to lead her on thinking that it was,and that it would be best if you two didn't go out again.

You know, that is the chance that we take when we meet someone online. Too bad she had to lie to you, there are those out there that do that!

there is no nice way man... its the real reason why its just hard to tell women that you don't like them.
tell her that you just want to be friends for a while, then slowly stop talking... thats what they do to us! |

Tell her she isnt your type, end of it... thats honest.
If you could be an a**hole on the date- you should be able to tell her shes not your type. |
|
|
|
Of course, you could also point out her dishonesty in describing herself. I guess like the previous suggestions, honesty is the best policy... both ways.

thanks for the ideas folks

sorry but you were not what i expected

who would want to date an overweight woman, blech!

So she was not what you expected...let her know. You talked yourself down because there was no connection...no big deal. Just be gratious in the let down and move on.

Hi there,
My advice to you is to be honest with her, not mean but honest. Just tell her that the feelings are just not there and you wish her the best. Honesty is always the best policy and you can do it without being an ***hole. We are not going to always like the person we meet and people do lie...so, just be a good guy and let her know without giving too much info...good luck, Carol |
