I have been young, and now I am old, and I have had a few relationships...it all boils down to one this...you never, really, know another person until you live with them and, even then, you, really, never know them. It does not matter where you meet them...at church, a bar, at a club, the store, on the internet...where ever...As the old saying goes:''To thine own self, be true''...knowing yourself and what you want, is a good start, in life.

Thank you Deamweaver and you are absolutely right we owe it to ourselves to be true to ourselves. No one is ever going to treat is as well as we do ourselves we just need to find someone closeto that, and I guess my dad was right. never trust anyone and that way you never get hurt. The words o a Navy Commander that are so true.

hi all, newbie here. i think you just need to trust your gut instinct on someone. if it feels wrong ,walk away with no regrets. remember nothing ventured nothing gained.

the problem with the last one slowtoget is I did venture way far and I gained nothing but a swift door in my face. Anyway glad I am not the only newbie trying this. And I will continue to venture just maybe a little more slowly this time LOL

Good thing about hearts is it seems no matter how many times it gets diced up, there has to be somebody that can mend it for you. Just takes a little time. And beleive me, time gets faster and faster with age.

So true about time passing quickly, Nerves. When I was a child it seemed it took forever for the weekend to get here. Now I feel as though we go from the 4th of July to New Years in the blink of an eye.
