There was a guy I was dating (months ago)and he decided to get back with
an ex-gf.. He was upfront and honest about it wanted to remain friends
just incase it didnt work out.. At the time I said I wasnt his lifeboat
for when his ship sank.. Ran into him.. He contacted me via email and
wants to have another go at it.. Im struggling with the "Am I second
best thing" and to top it off I really like this guy.. sigh what to do?

be honest with him and tell him what you feel and how you do not want to
be second choice and frankly you don't deserve that.
