I have 3 fire extinguishers in my bed rooms and kitchen. If anyone ever broke in Id use that then get my gun. I use to play with them when I was younger, not knowing how much they cost, and it puts you in shock not being able to breath.

I'll get one of those, the gun thing scares me. Knowing my luck it would be used against me. I would fight to the death for my daughter.

hi deb,

yes your right, let them take the stuff they want, they can be replaced we cant, and plus neally everyone has insurance.

i think deb, the law as changed now, and if there is a burgular in your house, you can kill them if need be.

Texas Governor Rick Perry [official website] Tuesday signed into law [press release] a new so-called "shoot first" law [SB 378 materials], which allows state residents to use deadly force to respond to threats in their homes, cars, and at jobs. The bill, also known as a "stand your ground" law, was approved by large majorities in both houses of the Texas Legislature. In his statement, Perry said "The right to defend oneself from an imminent act of harm should not only be clearly defined in Texas law, but is intuitive to human nature." The legislation, which requires that the person defending themselves be unprovoked, also provides civil immunity for any justified action under the law. The Texas law takes effect September 1, 2007.
