The prettiest remaining candidate in the race for the presidency
is finally calling it quits. Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, who has so far won mostly states he's actually lived in, will address the Conservative Political Action Conference at 12:15 today to say "ARE YOU MONSTERS HAPPY NOW?" and then stalk off forever. A nation mourns. [Time] http://gawker.com/353805/mitt-romney-drops-out-of-race |

However, with Huckabee staying in the race, it is my understanding that McCain is not happy with Huckabee. So, who knows maybe Romney might be VP. |

The man fried squirrels in a popcorn popper. Honestly, who else does that? He also wants to change the Constitution. Oh, yes, he's very friendly and open. But scratch the surface and there are some troubling things about Huckabee. |

But scratch the surface and there are some troubling things about Huckabee. I don't like Huckabee, but I think the reason he is staying in the race is to make himself viable to run in 2012. After all, Romney dropped out of the race, finishing second and in good standing with the Republican Party. Therefore, Huckabee, in order to be considered a contender for the next presidential race, has got to stay in the race until he gets enough delegates to surpass Romney. After all four years from now, no one will remember any details other than that this that or the other one finished second. Another reason Huckabee is staying in the race is to build a base for 2012. |
