Talking about wood was actually fun! Darkowl had a great topic! wood: Must be firm, yet pliable. Must have just the right texture. Must have just the right thickness and length. Must be shaved just enough, to be free of splinters. Doesn't bend to much when soaked. And definitely, does not cause blisters!!!
