Six Republicans were stripped of leadership positions for voting to override Governor Pawlently's veto of the proposed transportation bill.

Governor Pawlently has been campaigning for John McCain and is a potential Vice Presidential nominee.

I think these Republicans did a fine job of standing up to the Governor despite the risk and did what they felt was best for the citizens of Minnesota!

I almost never compliment Republicans, but this time I thought I'd give credit where credit was due.

drinker drinker laugh laugh I agree that it is the person , not the party,that is what stands up for the people, That is why ,I would not mind if Obama had Republican Colin Powell for Vice president to keep all the republicans happy too. We should all be happy with our govt if possible. Besides Powell was good enough to quit the bush gang when he saw that he been HAD!!!

I'm not sure Powell would want to be second fiddle to Obama but I get your point.
