Is every one that clueless that you blame the current president for the economy. Maybe some reading should be done on how our economy works. It is very cylclic and takes 6-8 years for an economic policy to take effect, it is not an overnight wham it is fixed. There is some small stimulating the president can do to try and bust it along but usually that is short term, and the rest needs to take its coarse to be fully implimented.
At what point are we has a people going to stand up for ourselves. Times are tough so lets blame the government and sit back and hope it fixes itself, our should we step up educate ourselves and move forward. Our youth have been pampered so bad they wouldn't know what real work is if it slapped them in the face. 95% of the kids coming to work in our plant don't make it the first week, they expect that they are going to come in at sit at a desk and play all day (with no education beyond HS). Do I blame the government for our lazy children our should we look at ourselves on this. I hear us talk about the schools and the job our schools are doing but has parents what are you doing, school systems today are just becoming daycare services. Yes they try too teach out children but when they come home if we do not follow up and promote learning in our homes what do we have. Exactly what you are complaining about so OK lets be childish and blame the government cause we too must be lazy. |

Ok people, think of it this way. You have a county whos southern states were some of the worst racist in this countys history. Weather we like to think so or not there is still plenty of racism today. So what that means is you have thousands, mabey even tens of thousands of "redneck good ole boys" that wouldn't as much as be in the same room as a black man. Do you realy think that they will allow a "black" president. If obama is elected he will be ducking more bullets than you can count, and given this countrys record on assassinated presedents, at least one of them will hit there mark. what a stupid and ignorant thing to say! and... caamken- right the eff on, im glad that there is still common sense in the country. peace |

What a sinister concept, requiring that children actually learn something in school and requiring they demonstrate that they have in fact learned. This has created to the previous learn nothing but feel good about yourself Liberal Socialist daycare education program that turned out waves of burger filppers. That is a threat to the very existance of the Liberal Socialist Party. If we turn kids out of school that are educated they will be smart enough to see through the BS put out by the Liberal Socialists and will register and vote Republican.  Most well educated people with a modicum of common sense and no prejudice or hatred in their soul lean to the liberal side anyway. It is a part of being educated that shows people the real deal and makes them lean liberal. |

My son's primary degree is in business management. He is in a position, because of his degree and his job, which makes him quite knowledgeable about the economy. When he explained how the economy works to me many years ago, he articulated the things you said. Additionally, I want to comment on your saying we need to take charge of ourselves. A radio commentator voiced your same comments by saying that the problem today is that we do not take responsibility for ourselves. We play the blame game. We want to be successful, but we do not work towards that end. If we want to achieve we cannot look to the government or blame others. We must get an education and work hard. Additionally, this same radio commentator says that we have no shame in our societ4y. At the risk of repeating myself, we are to anxious to take government handouts, welfare and the like. This same commentator went on to say that we are shameless in that we accept/encourage unwed women to have babies and go on the public dole. Incidentally, I did not mention the radio commentator's name, because the liberals will jump all over my post and bash the commentator. I don't want that; I just want to reinforce what you have said. |

Between my two sons and myself, we have nine degrees. Does this mean we are liberal?! My two brothers have five degrees between them. Does that mean they are liberal?! If you are going to play that game, a good portion of people who are accepting government handouts are Democratics, in other words liberals. Thinking your way, one would assume that if you are taking welfare and other government handouts, it is because you do not have the education. Therefore, according to what you have posted, if you are on welfare and/or uneducated, you are a liberal. |

I have stayed out of the current news & events in the past and lately have had some free time to read some of the post.
What the heck are some you thinking There is no greater gift one person can give another, than to offer their own life so you can live yours. So the way ya'll bash the military and the war is unforgivable. You have no clue what goes on over there. (and tell say you read some report, wake up) You sit back in your nice little nest enjoying your happy little lives while these young men and women put there life on the line every day to make that possible for you. So you want to protest the war and go organize and demoralize military funeral. Don't tell me that is your right in this country, weres the rights of the family who has suffered the loss. Cause truely them young men and women are part of your extended family, and you should feel the loss also and the sacrifices they have made for you. Cause maybe you want the true essence of the meaning socialist government here and then you have no opinion. |

However, please go back and read those threads/posts again. You will discover that the posters who are anti-American and anti-military are the same few. These people who are against our country and our military troll the websites looking for negative essays about our country and our fighting men and copy/paste this awful stuff and initiate threads or post it on existing threads. Another fact is that four of these people are not Americans .... one is from Europe and lives in America ..... the other three are from other countries. Additionally, there are a few of these mean-spirited trollers who are Americans. I wonder how these so-called Americans can get up in the morning and look at themselves in the mirror, knowing they spend their time on sites, bashing our country and our figfhting men. I believe that Americans who do nothing but bash our country and military without ever saying something positive or offering some type of solution are akin to traitors. If they lived in another country where there is not the freedom of speech that we have here, they would be hung for treason. Incidentally, I know that there are some on this site who are not American who have kind words to say about our country. In addition, they defend America, and I thank them and appreciate their efforts. |
