The webs of pain will spawn

The darkness you invite
Will live and grow so long,

To show you what is wrong.

To push someone away,

To dwell upon that pain.

If only you would read
The pages of a heart,
You may find an entry
That ended as a start.

The love you have is willing,
You only need to nudge,
Yet if you keep to darkness,
Never will you budge.

The tears that have been felt
In present and in past,
Can fade away in sunlight
If you remove the shadow's cast.

To be a friend and one sincere
You must try to understand,
When your friends are hurting,
They need your helping hand.

If you never open
And never choose to dance,
You'll always choose regret
And think about that chance.

If you've read these words
And taken them to heart,
You'll try at least to open
And be just who you are.

We all can fall in darkness
And we all can lose our way,
