Once again, rabbit, bitterness has griped your heart. Why don't you share a similar story how Zeus saved someone in a like manner. Maybe you could convert some of us.
Great post, sexy...It's comforting to know we're not alone. GOD bless

maybe it was god maybe not there are stories like this all over the place and i'm very sceptikle.... i mean for instance they say everone has their time to die and i used to believe we die once we accomplished what we are here for, that is until a friend of mine died in a car wreck, this was a guy who was everyones friend helped everyone and loved everyone yet he had to die as a senior in high school, he still had his whole life ahead of him a full football scholarship to kentucky taken from him in an instant.... (what makes matter worse is at that time the song jesus take the wheel was popular and jesus did not "take the wheel" he let him die... so maybe the girl was just luky maybe this story is bull, i've seen this story on myspace and facebook and tons of other sights... so yeah...

good things and bad things happen. no one can prove or disprove god's existence. It's something you either believe in or not. I have had WAY too many close calls in my life. Whether it be death, or just getting screwed over completely. I for one do believe in god. I may not take to any organized religion but i see him in everything around me both tangible and intangible. Something is watching out for us...well at least for me. I don't feel it all the time but i definately do sometimes. but for those skeptics i guess it really doesn't matter as long as u believe in something.

Why didn't God protect both girls?

Well, I'll assume that this is a true story, I don't know that it is, so let's assume.

Spiritual warfare works like this. The enemies forces are 1/2 the size of God's forces. Satan is a general, directing his servants to do the most evil. God's forces take their marching orders from prayers. God doesn't send angels to do something, we do. That's why more prayer is always better, because the angels can oppose any demons who are trying to work Satan's will. Read Daniel 10 for a description of how spiritual warfare works.

So why didn't God protect both girls? God didn't protect either one of them. The first girl asked the angels to protect her, so God sent them, the second one did not.

Daniel 10:13
But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

This is an angel telling Daniel that he has been delayed by 20 days by a demon he calls "prince of the kingdom of Persia", but Michael showed up to contront "prince of the kingdom of Persia", to free this angel up to deliver a message to Daniel.

Daniel 10:20
Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come.

Then the angel tells Daniel that he is returning to fight the "prince of Persia", because now the "prince of Grecia" is coming to struggle with the angel Micheal. What are they fighting over? We don't know. But you can see that there is a constant war going on in the spiritual realm. That's why prayer is so important, we have them outnumbered 2 to 1, but without prayers, the angels sit around waiting for orders while performing their other duties.

Hi Sexy,

I have a problem with this story. Of course it could possibly be true, but what I hope it won't do is feed what I believe is a wrong impression that some believers have. That impression is that God is somehow like a magic genie and He is there to protect us and provide for us.

I know that God can and does protect people, but, there is a flip side. Some take this to a wrong conclusion. They think they don't have to work at finding a job. They think they don't have to work at finding a mate. They allow themselves to be in dangerous situations believing that God will protect them. By this they tempt God.

Here are some verses to clarify my point. God says, we are not to do things to temp Him. When the devil told Him to prove who He was by jumping from a high place, Jesus refused. He realized it was tempting God to put yourself in harm's way:

Mat 4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

God's people are not promised a special protected life.

Ecc 9:11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

So, God tells us that time & chance happen to us. If we are in the wrong place at the wrong time, we could have the wrong thing happen to us. It is not God's fault.

Speaking of the devil, we are told:

1Pe 5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

So, the same things must happen to believers that happen to unblievers. Christ suffered. He experienced all that we do, so He could be a merciful high priest.

We are going to be kings and priests in the future. True Christians will teach others during the millennium and therefore, they can't have a perfect easy life. If they did, then they would not have compassion on others.

Because of this truth, Paul writes:

Act 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Thanks for bring up an interesting point

Then the angel tells Daniel that he is returning to fight the "prince of Persia", because now the "prince of Grecia" is coming to struggle with the angel Micheal. What are they fighting over? We don't know. But you can see that there is a constant war going on in the spiritual realm.

I want to speculate on what these angelic forces were fighting over. God had prophesied that there would be a series of empires that would come to rule over western civilization. The head of gold was Babylon, the chest of silver was Persia, the thighs of brass were Greece, and the legs of iron Rome.

Daniel was in Babylon during the reign of Babylon, and then when the Medo-Persian empire took over. Greece was to take over after the Persian empire.

Dan 8:3 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last. Dan 8:4 I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great. Dan 8:5 And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. Dan 8:6 And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power.
Dan 8:7 And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.

This is the battle what would take place. The ram with two horns was the combined empires of Media and Persia. The goat was Alexander the great whose swift victories are pictured by feet that don't touch the ground they are so fast they seemed to fly.

It was not yet God's timing for Greece. Of course, the demonic world, the power behind these thrones would want to somehow damage God's timing. The demons would fight with God's angels trying to upset the chronology.

I am, again, amazed

My dad died when I was 7. Not because he wasn't good enough or anything. I struggled with the whys for years. As much as I miss him...I don't thikn I would be the person I am today if he hadn't. Someone posted to me recently that there is a purpose. Just because we don't understand why, doesn't mean anyone deserves bad things to happen to them over someone else
