Any fans of his books and poems? He is probably my favorite writer. Women was the first book I ever read by him, and was hooked. That was about 10 years ago.

Bukowski is great ... check out writers of the Beat Generation too... Jack Kerouac, Williams Burroughs , Allen Ginsberg and Gregory Corso to name a few ... Bukowski was surely influenced by them ~

I've read a couple of Burroughs, and like what I read. Will check out the others, thanks.

by the way Kerouac is from my home town ... and he wrote "On the Road" on a huge roll of telepaper.... he just taped pages together and fed it into his typewriter .... finished it in a nonstop frenzy of 3 weeks .... they had an exhibit last summer here last summer ... it was really cool ...
