Which part of "most" are you neglecting to recognize? There are very few who smoke pot as that went out in the 80's...it is old news with the much more synthetic technological highs out there...the instant gratification need has evolved to the total quick fix...do you watch the news?

If people keep quitting cigarettes they will need new TAX revenues and weed would be perfect for that.

How would legalizing pot increase attendance in narcotics anonymous? If anything it would eventually help bring it down, as it would now be legal and a lot less people would not be getting into it just for the thrill of doing something illegal.

And for whoever made the comment about putting homegrown and laced on the streets? Thats hogwash. No one is going to buy it off the streets if they can grow it or buy it from the store themselves. And if you get caught passing a laced joint, then you would still be hit as if you were handing out spiked punch.

Either way marijuana has no real medical disadvantages, for those who say it's a "gateway" drug...so is alcohol, drank before I did anything else (see where that argument goes?). They continue to do studies on marijuana in England, Amsterdam has done extensive study on it all with the same result so far "It is not addictive, and cannot kill you". The one possible risk with it is lung cancer no different than smoking a cigarrette, however that is yet to be proven.

What you all don't understand is with it being illegal any medical advantages that it might have can't be found because in and of itself would be illegal. Drugs don't hurt, kill, or abuse...the user does.

It would still be illegal to operate while under the influence, just like with alcohol. And no, legalizing it would NOT increase the number of stupid people out there not willing to follow the law.

There are people in the NA rooms for smoking pot. It has become a problem in their lives. There are also pot heads in drug rehab.

If your basis of comparison is the evening news, as far as determining if pot usage is down since the eighties, I have some waterfront property in theh calihari to sell you. Nice and cheap too.

There are "legal" drugs and there are "illegal" drugs. Both of these things get too much attention from the authorities.

The legal drugs have to be regulated and people have to pay taxes on buying and selling of them.

The illegal drugs can get you in jail.

Its the ones that are neither legal or illegal that you want to find out about. No control over them. No taxes. No jail.

There are certain plants you can smoke... better than pot, not legal or illegal.

You can find out about them ... on the internet. mmmmm.

But personally I don't do drugs. I am high on life.
