I think the Tigers have a great shot, although their bullpen is a big question mark, but I think they will score enough runs to where it shouldnt matter. They gots a scary lineupsmokin

Yeah honestly I think it's even better than the Yankee's lineup the past few years. Which is amazing.

Also, they say Zumaya is progressing well so that should help the bullpen problem significantly.

I don't know to much about baseball other than that, I live in KC... our team the Royals are terrible and I love the White Sox.

Lol yep the royals are terrible...but at least they're young. Pay attention for them in about 5 years.

The white sox...eh I don't see them being whole lot better than the royals this year! drinker

NL East is going to be tough. Hey - you go to many games? We should seriously plan a trip to the ballpark. Do you know if Boston comes to town this year?

I got games whenever I have the time and money. So...sometimes. Haha. The Sox are in from June 16-18 and I'll be at at least one of the games guaranteed!

Dodgers should be tough this year in the NL
Do not discount Cleveland in the AL they may be young but they do have talent

It's true...so long as Carmona doesn't have a sophomore slump, they'll have an amazing 1-2 punch in their rotation. I think it all hinges on whether Hafner can bounce back or not.

Tigers all the way, that batting line will be tough to pitch against, the question will be the bullpen, I think the starting pitchers will be stellar.

Their bullpen should be alright...after all they've got Rodney and Zumaya (should return soon) who are flamethrowers, Grilli who is solid, and Zach Miner moved from the rotation where he had glimpses of greatness last year. Plus Doug Jones closing...despite his 45 mph fastball and ballooning era, he still manages to rack up saves somehow.

The starting pitching isn't as solid as some think, IMO. Verlander is a stud. But Bonderman was severely inconsistent last year, and Willis was having a tough season last year in the NL...I'd be worried about his transition to the AL. Who else is on that staff, Kenny Rogers? Oy.

Any idea where they'll have that young guy, Andrew Miller?

I think Bonderman will bounce back, If u look at most the games Willis pitched last year he didn't have much run support, Andrew Miller was traded to the Marlins for Cabrera and Willis, Kenny Rogers is just old I think Miner was more effective when they had him starting, with that said I still think the Sox and Indians are the teams to beat, it will be interesting this year.

I think the only problem for the Tigers will be injuries, and the way that starting staff seems to wear out down the stretch, and the al central will be tough, Cleveland and Detroit are looking good, the White Sox got better with Swisher and Orlando Cabrera, The Royals will be decent, they will probably turn some heads.

Oh right, duh. I'm asleep at the wheel here.
I honestly don't see anyone coming within a mile of the Tigers... although the Indians always have a way of pulling things together. I keep trying to convince myself that Sabathia is overrated but his numbers are always huge. I love Fausto...hopefully he follows up nicely in his encore year. Hafner will have to step it up though, and hopefully be past his contract year woes.

The White Sox will be decent but nothing more, IMO, and the Royals... well they're gonna need 5 years to crawl back onto the radar screen.
