Why do most people that believe in "god" and "jesus" have to try and shove their beliefs down everyone elses throat?

I've only found the born again Christian's do that. As a normal Christian who should go to church, I believe you can worship God from home. I think everyone is entittled to what they believe and no one should do that. Laurie |

they think that there beliefs are the only correct way to believe in God and Jesus. I tend to feel that these people have a very closed mind and aren't open to other opinions. I tend to be a much more spiritual person rather than a religious person. My relationship with God is personal and I try to keep it private.

It means that they preach to you, tell you your going to hell if you don't believe what they do. It's pretty self explanitory. |

I don't feel that anyone has the right to come into my life and judge me and tell me that crap. To each their own. I would never tell someone that they were wrong for their beliefs. Very hypocritcal in my eyes to judge others!! And if I want to live in sinful life, then I should be able to. It's nobody elses business what I do on my personal time. |

It's nobody elses business what I do on my personal time. If you honestly believed in hell, salvation and that Jesus was the only way to receive salvation, would you tell others about Jesus or not? I know that those might not be your beliefs, but I'm asking a hypothetical rhetorical question. Just think about it, there is no need to answer. |

I have strong feelings about anyone who trys to push their own beliefs on another person. Everyone that knows me knows my love for God..but my love for him is personal. When my personality was changing from the hurt - angry - and not so nice person to the humble - loving person, my best friends asked me what happened to me...  Every person has the right to believe what they wish, we all know that and should respect others wishes... I love all of the human race, whatever their belief. Even the ornery ones need a hug This is from a person who would love one day to be Christ like. Yes I believe and yes I love him with my whole heart and "no" I don't expect anyone to feel as I do.  |

Maybe I would go to my local church and spread the word for the people that WANT to hear about jesus. I wouldn't go to complete strangers and do it no! Wouldn't the people in the church have already heard the gospel? Who would need the gospel, if not those who aren't in the church? |

Look, there are 400 thousand churches in my town, and I know how to get there if I want to go. So do every other person in this country. I do not need anyone knocking on my damn door at 7 am to tell me the word. If I wanted to hear it, I'd go to church. It is not your responsibilty to get people to go. That is what is great about living in a free society. I can choose what I want to do and what to believe. So quit bothering me.

That is what is great about living in a free society. I can choose what I want to do and what to believe. So quit bothering me. Freedom is a wonderful thing and a two-way street. Freedom allows everyone to choose their own beliefs and it allows everyone to go door to door to talk about their beliefs. But you can put up a "No Solicitation" sign to keep those unwanted visitors away. The door-to-door kind of Christian is usually a Mormon or Jehovah's Witness. They aren't exactly traditional Christians. |

I think some people feel it's like finding a treasure and want to share that 'good news' to all they come in contact with. That's where you have your freedom to choose. Some accept their good news while others don't even want to hear it. Please don't be too hard on those who have come to know CHRIST; you haven't seen where they have been and hopefull you won't go there either
