Thats not really a riddle. More of history lesson. The gregorian calender when implemented in the early years, required all dates to be shifted up 11 days.

Why is George Washington's official birthday celebration held on February 22 when he was actually born on February 11? They celebrate both Pres's bday's. George and Abe, and always do it on a monday.
