If so I saw that when I was too young and it freaked me out!!!! he only killed one person and it was with a mishapen ceramic penis which the victim had in her "art" collection That is a movie that would warp a child, or a sensative adult |

i think he was a top ten director at best BUT he was the very best at working with color, mood, light and detail.

Actually that movie has made a big comeback, as I was surprised to see my son had rented it a year or so, ago. Maybe if I watched it again it wouldn't freak me out so much. I asked him not to watch, but of course he did, I feel quite sure.
What do moms know, right? ![]() ![]() |

It was over here because Kubric (who lived in the UK) had it withdrawn due to death threats to his family ![]() Some people have no sense of humour. |

You can get the full thing on DVD now. |

Really? Which 30 seconds?
I'm guessing it's when they rape the writer's wife. |

Pete,
I don't know because of how it made me feel as a teen, I did not watch it. My son is at that age he may be embarrassed to discuss certain topics with me. Oh yeah and the fact I asked him not to watch. I'll ask him, though. I had no idea about the death threats. Artistic form is different for each person. Do I have it blown out of poportion, in my mind's eye? If so I'll just rewatch. It was probably due to my state of mind (buzzzed), that it freaked me out. I'll still ask him, though. We just had a bet I couldn't be a Leave It To Beaver type of mom,for a week...my guess, he'll win. ![]() |
