Why is it that all the mail I get is from girls in south africa I set my profile for around my state but I am open to talking to others.These women have both had mom and dad die.There profile says from Ohio or where they are from in US

Why is it that all the mail I get is from girls in south africa I set my profile for around my state but I am open to talking to others.These women have both had mom and dad die.There profile says from Ohio or where they are from in US Scammers looking for money..DON'T answer them back..I get those too..I get more mail from the people NOT in the States than I do people in the states..it's ridiculous..I'm always wanting to write back and say "Um..you're in Africa,Italy,etc..etc..etc..WHAT am I supposed to do with you?"
