In a see loneliness I abide,
To stay with you, so hard I tried
But you still left my side
That day my heart died
Now my heart is cold
There is no more beauty to behold
The rain, snow, or the sunset
No beauty as of yet,
Even the beginning of a new day
Without you seems dull and grey
You have taken all my joy,
Treating my heart like a forgotten toy,
That you strung along and played,
Then you just hurt me, and put me away
But through it all I stayed.
Because I knew there would be another day,
When once again you would come and play,
I knew it was just because you got bored,
But these moments with you I adored,
But the last time wasn’t the same,
Because I sat waiting and you never came,
I knew something was amiss,
Then you told me, this was my last kiss.
Now I just lay in paralysis,
Wishing for my heart to cease and desist.
Oh the peace it would bring,
To be with Jesus my king,
But I know I must go on living,
So All I can do is sit and pray,
That another will have a love worth giving
Oh how I long for this day
