MMA is more than just beating the hell out of somebody and vice versa. I would either fight or drag race. no ****, those are just some highlight..... Well if you havent noticed...professional fighting corporations, (UFC, Pride, WEC) are trying to get away from people thinking its just a blood sport where people just "beat the hell out of eachother". So thats why I made that reply. Not everyone knows what it is, and if you go around just saying that, then thats what people are gonna think. |

I just realised some irony of my own... I say i would do MMA but my user name is laxviking57 and the lax is the short term for lacrosse wich i love but proffesional lacrosse player make about 100 dolalrs a game.... yay... and I thought that lax meant laxative  and viking was the nfl team....

one of the most overated things in MMA is wushu wich is all about defense... I study that stuff on more than a fighting level and blood sport is what people like to see and want to think they are seeing i will give you that, most people can not handel watching a match that is all jiu jitsu or hell even just wrestling....

Used to play football and baseball. I guess if I'd made a career out of one it would be baseball. Longer lifespan.

Look, you are right i'll admit it but i don't know what the popularity level of MMA is where you live i see you do mui thai and BJJ but here the popularity is not so much so if you get people thinking they are going to see KOs and blood all the time then i get people interested and maybe more a person to fight in the ring, on the mat, or in the cage...so as a person who knows about MMA i agree, but as a fan i like to see that stuff. |
