Hello there...
Well I decided to get my feet wet and do something NEW. Guess I didn't think it would be so hard to do.
I have a web page that I am trying to promote and get traffic to. However the website is not run by me, and I can't change the meta tags as far as I know.

SO for the computer wizards out there... I am wondering how you would try to gain traffic to a webpage for advisors on KEEN.
Your help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks for you help!

Well, how about putting your web url on here and asking others to look at it... that's one way. Otherwise, you'll have to contact your website designer.

Some designers are really good about linking websites that end up back at other websites that they own...

Other designers are great at writing code that gets you on the first page of a Google search.

You just have to pick the right one. Good luck!

I have a little experience with webpage optimization. It is really tough to make your site pop up on google. It all depends on what your site is about, if it is something common(like car site) it will be hard because there is so many car site out there. With out access to the site you are fighting an un-winnable fight. You need to FILL the site with key words for the search engines to look at. Its not about your meta tags its about site content. Also backlinks(links that point back to your site from other sites) are very important. If other sites have your url in them then your site will gain reputation points with sites like google. Blogs are a great place to have your link to your site(make sure they are on blogs about the specific subject. There are also other sites where people just write about topics, you will need to get your url on those sites. It takes months for all this stuff to take effect, it is not a easy task trust me. There are company's that will do all this for you but they are not cheep!
