I just installed this script, AllTheTraffic on my site.

When I go to set the admin password, it does nothing. I type the password in at install.php, but when I click "Create account with this password", the password field just resets to password.

Also, on the home page when I try to create a new account, it does the same thing.

I don't get any error messages or anything.

What could be the problem here? I don't get.

huh I give up on this script.

Does anyone know of any similar (surf exchange) scripts that are free?

i think there might be a config.php file in the directory... is that writable? Is it even there?

It's there and it was setup properly. I even checked the fil permissions and made sure they were set correctly.

ohwell I'm going to try to find another script.

I may have to write my own, I can't seem to find any other script like this for free.grumble

Hrrmmm... I was confused... Was this a database password or password for a login...

If it is the latter.... Database tables not writable for some reason?

hmmm....i did a little digging around, and it's kind of an old script. What functionality does it provide that you can't seem to find elsewhere? I downloaded and took a quick look at the script. It's nothing more than a CMS and there are tons of those around (and in PHP). My advise is to loose your script ASAP!!! Try XOOPS instead. It's programming paradigm is vastly superior, and there are many many add-on modules. And if you can write php than creating one (after getting used to the interface) is a fairly easy. Also, I believe there are books out there that explain programming XOOPS. But best of all, you don't need to pay for help. There is a huge community waiting to answer your questions, whatever they may be.

Hope this helps you out.
